Western Scenes, Western Friends

September 23 – 26, 2021

  Dickinson and Medora, North Dakota

This year’s TRA 102nd Annual Meeting will be hosted virtually by our friends at the Theodore Roosevelt Center at Dickinson State University in Dickinson, ND. Plans are in the works for what will be a terrific program around this year’s theme of TR’s Western “Arena” – this will be the TR Center’s 17th Annual Theodore Roosevelt Symposium. Several well-known TR scholars will share their in-depth knowledge and insight on TR’s western travels, adventures, friendships, and conservation policies and how they all impacted his life and his presidency. Roosevelt’s years in the Dakota badlands transformed him from a physically frail easterner into one of the American West’s champions and opened up a much wider world in which Roosevelt south to find both personal and national renewal.

This is a meeting you will not want to miss!
