Theodore Roosevelt Association Children's Book Award – 2019

December 20, 2019— We are proud to announce the first Theodore Roosevelt Association Children's Book Award.

The book which best enhances Theodore Roosevelt for youth--while maintaining historical fidelity---will receive a certificate, a monetary prize, and a bust of the president.

Under the leadership of trustee Dr. Gene Kopelson, a committee of historians, authors, parents, and TR experts nominated seven previously-published books from which the committee will select the first retrospective winner. The recipient of the first award will be recognized at a TRA event in 2020. Subsequent prizes will be awarded annually to books published during the preceding year.
