You and your family will be allowed to attend one of the most exciting events offered by the Theodore Roosevelt Association, the Friends and Family Cruise on the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) to be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2019.

This is a TRA fundraising event to support many of the programs we have for the ship, including college scholarships for crew member dependents, the annual USS TR Junior Officer Leadership Award and the special crew members Homeward Bound for the Holidays event.

The Friends and Family Cruise is a naval tradition either before or after a long deployment, offering the crew members the opportunity to show off their ship to their loved ones. As you might imagine, they put on a great show. Captain Carlos Sardiello has kindly allowed members of the TRA to participate in this wonderful event.

You have never seen a show like this! It will be an all-day event, with a dinner the evening before. The USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) will sail early in the morning from her home port at the San Diego Naval Base in California and return in the late afternoon. Participation is limited to TRA members and their families. Non-TRA Members wishing to participate must join the TRA prior to registering for this event.

Important Note:

The number of guests allocated to the TRA this year is very limited.  Registrations will be accepted online only on a first come/first serve basis.  Once we reach our limit, registration will be closed.  We have hopes the Captain will increase this number of guests at a later date.  An email will go out to announce if we have room for additional guests and registration will then be re-opened on the website until that number has been reached.
