2026 Friends and Family Cruise Day

We are pleased to announce the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) has invited a limited number of TRA members and their family to attend their
2026 Friends and Family Cruise Day to be held August 8, 2026. The Friends and Family Cruise is a naval tradition held either before or after along deployment, offering the crew members an opportunity to show off their ship to their loved ones.

As you might imagine, they put on a great show! Captain Will Mathis has kindly allowed members of the TRA to participate in this wonderful event. There will be guided tours of the ship, demonstrations on the flight deck, meals (continental breakfast, lunch & snacks) and entertainment for all ages. This ship sails early in the morning from her homeport at the San Diego Naval Base in California and returns in the late afternoon. This promises to be an unforgettable experience onboard "The Big Stick!"

Event Date: Saturday, August 8, 2026

Location: US Naval Base / Coronado Island

1500 Orange Avenue, Coronado, CA 92118

Fee: $45 Per Person
