(February 5, 2026) The Theodore Roosevelt Association (TRA) is pleased to announce the renaming of the Theodore Roosevelt Association Fellowship at Harvard University’s Houghton Library, home to the esteemed Theodore Roosevelt Collection.
Formerly known as The Theodore Roosevelt Association Fellowship for the Study of the Life and Times of Theodore Roosevelt, the fellowship has been renamed The Wallace Finley Dailey Theodore Roosevelt Association Fellowship in memory of Wallace Finley Dailey, who passed away on December 20, 2025.
Wallace served as curator of the Theodore Roosevelt Collection at Harvard University for more than forty years (1971–2012), shaping it into one of the nation’s foremost research resources on Theodore Roosevelt and his era. In recognition of his exceptional service, Wallace received the Bertha Benkard Rose Award from the TRA in 1996 and remained an active member of the TRA Advisory Board for the last twenty-five years of his life.
