Due to the current U.S. Government Shutdown, activities that were
scheduled to take place at the Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site for our 106 th Annual Meeting will be moved to a nearby location. If the Government Shutdown ends before October 17th, we plan to use our regularly scheduled locations at the Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site. Please rest assured that despite these unexpected circumstances, the 106th Annual Meeting will still be held in the Hyde Park/Poughkeepsie, NY area on October 17th and 18th. The TRA remains committed to ensuring a memorable and meaningful gathering for all attendees. Further details regarding the updated venue and schedule will be shared with you shortly. Book Prize Luncheon
The weekend kicks off at the Henry A. Wallace Visitor and Education Center on Friday with the Theodore Roosevelt Book Prize Luncheon recognizing Edward F. O'Keefe, President of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum and author of The Loves of Theodore Roosevelt. A roundtable discussion moderated by historian and biographer Dr. Stacy A. Cordery follows featuring three past Theodore Roosevelt Book Prize honorees and Dr. David B. Woolner, Professor of History and the Judy and Peter Blum Kovler Foundation Fellow of Roosevelt Studies at Marist University.

Our Welcome Cocktail Reception will feature special guest author Nathalia Holt, Ph.D., who will discuss her latest book, The Beast in the Clouds. This stunning true story follows TR’s oldest sons in their 1928 quest to find the elusive panda bear in the Chinese and Tibetan wilderness.

Saturday morning’s academic panel discussion on the Roosevelt Family Legacy will have Senior Fellow and Resident Historian at the Roosevelt Institute Dr. David B. Woolner along with other well-known historians and authors covering a range of topics from progressivism to the Roosevelt women.

Saturday's luncheon and “Fireside Chat” will discuss conservation and the Roosevelt family legacy.
Gala Awards Dinner
Our Gala Cocktail Reception and Awards Dinner caps off the weekend. Being held at our host hotel, the beautiful Inn at Bellefield, perfectly located with sweeping views of the Hudson River Valley. We hope you will join us this evening for a special culinary experience of locally sourced, seasonal ingredients, followed by the celebration and recognition of our TRA awards recipients for their outstanding accomplishments and contributions to the Roosevelt legacy.
Our Keynote for the evening will be the Founder/Director of StudioEIS, Ivan Schwartz, a sculptor, painter and designer with a keen interest in American history.
