      David H. Burton,
      1925-2016

This issue of the Theodore Roosevelt Association Journal is dedicated to the memory of Professor David H. Burton, a frequent contributor and a member for many years of the TRA Advisory Board, who passed away in October 2016. To the editor of the TRA Journal, with whom he shared a strong interest in the subject of TR and Anglo-American relations, Prof. Burton was a longtime friend and a valuable mentor. During a distinguished career as a scholar, Prof. Burton authored more than twenty books, including Theodore Roosevelt: Confident Imperialist (1968) and edited many others, including William H. Taft: Essential Writings and Addresses (2009).
