2018 Strenuous Life Adventure in Dakota Territory

Travel Opportunity! Join us on another Strenuous Life Adventure, this time to Theodore Roosevelt's Dakota Territory with tour guide Valerie Naylor!

We have built a 6-night, 7-day custom TR tour that is just BULLY, and will take place mid-September 2018!

We will visit sites established by Roosevelt (Jewel Cave, Wind Cave, Devils Tower), as well as places he visited (Deadwood, Edgemont, Medora) and places dedicated to him (Mt. Rushmore, Theodore Roosevelt National Park, Mt. Roosevelt, TR statues, TR Center). The tour also includes two of his home sites: Maltese Cross Ranch site and original cabin, and the Elkhorn Ranch and Ranchlands.

Guide Valerie Naylor worked for the National Park Service for over 30 years and spent much of her career in North and South Dakota. She started as a volunteer at Theodore Roosevelt National Park and returned 20 years later to become the longest-serving superintendent in the park’s history, from 2003 to 2014.

Due to limited van space, this trip will fill up fast! Join our email interest list to be the first to get detailed registration and other information as it becomes available. Email TRA Strenuous Life host Michele Bryant at mbryant@theodoreroosevelt.org.
